Offers advocacy for victims of domestic violence in helping to get a protection order.
In limited circumstances, can provide survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking with representation in civil protective order cases. Does not provide representation in domestic relation cases, including custody and dissolution. Does not assist with eviction assistance or landlord/tenant issues.
Eligibility:
For legal representation: Child and adult victims of crime,
including but not limited to victims of sexual abuse, homicide,
domestic violence, stalking, and vehicular assault. Clients must be
either current residents of Oregon or victims of crimes that
occurred in the state of Oregon. Can only help victims of a crime
once said crime has been filed by the court.
