HOME ENERGY SCORE
Provides information on the City of Portland's requirement that sellers of most single-family homes obtain and disclose a home energy score at the time of sale. Mobile, manufactured, floating, and multi-family complexes with stacked units are not included in the requirements.

Individual homeowners may qualify for an exemption under certain circumstances, including but not limited to foreclosure, condemned or uninhabitable properties, and undue hardship.

The Home Energy Score measures a home's energy efficiency based on an on-site evaluation of its physical characteristics. To provide a consistent comparison for home shoppers, it does not measure the actual energy usage of its current occupants.
