HIGH DESERT CONSERVATION CORPS
Provides opportunities to work outdoors in natural resource conservation projects. Members serve on a Heart of Oregon AmeriCorps crew for 3 months, during which time they also work toward industry certifications and gain the experience needed to be successful in the job market, while earning a stipend during the program.

Crew members meet at Heart of Oregon Corps in Bend or Prineville every day and get van transport to project sites from there. Meet-up spot is 6 blocks from Cascades Transit Hawthorne Station.

Eligibility: Ages 17-24. Emphasis is placed on recruiting "opportunity youth" who are not in school or employed. Restorative justice philosophy; court-involved youth welcome to apply.
