INTAKE PROCEDURE:
Call to be added to the waitlist when the waitlist is open.
A specialist will follow up within a few days to gather more information and complete waitlist intake. When your name comes up on the waitlist and there is an open bed available, you will receive a callback.
Family/friends/caseworkers can add individuals needing services to the waitlist, however to complete the full waitlist intake the individual needing services will be contacted within a few days by a Homeless Services Specialist from 211 and will need to give consent to be added to the list and receive services.
Wait time to get an open bed is estimated to be a minimum of 3 weeks and depends when bed space opens and how many people are on the waitlists. Being added to the waitlist does not guarantee a space immediately. If returning a call from a Homeless Services Specialist, voicemail will be available and your call will be returned.
New intakes generally open one bed space at a time. Due to that, couples and multiple female-identified family members hoping to receive an intake at the same time may not be available.
Shelter does NOT accept referrals by walk in. Please do not walk in or stop by the shelter for any reason.
