CIVIL RIGHTS DIVISION
The Civil Rights Division enforces federal laws that protect people from discrimination based on race, color, national origin, disability status, sex, religion, familial status, or loss of other constitutional rights. Also enforces federal laws that protect individuals from discrimination by suing or presecuting organizations or individuals who violate civil rights laws. These laws protect individuals from discrimination, harassment, and abuse in settings like housing, the workplace, school, voting, business, healthcare, and public spaces.
