GROWING GARDENS
Provides a three-year program to residents with limited resources. Garden installation, plant seeds and starts, compost, tools, and educational workshops are provided. Beginning gardeners are matched with more experienced gardeners known as Garden Advisors, providing one-on-one mentoring throughout the season.

Youth Grow provides hands-on education in school gardens to help all children feel accepted and empowered to make conscious choices, become stewards of the environment, share their culture and increase community resiliency.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call or visit website for more information. Garden enrollment takes place in the fall for the following spring. All spring gardens are confirmed by January and requests made February-July are referred to fall installation. Growing Gardens typically receives many more requests for enrollment than can be filled, especially in the spring. When enrolling in the spring, clients will be put on the list for the following fall or spring installation schedule. Clients can also request to talk to the Home Gardens team for a new participant application.
