JACKSON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH
NURSE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP
First-time mothers or those interested in a little extra support are partnered with a registered nurse early in their pregnancy and receive ongoing nurse home visits through their child’s second birthday. Nurses provide health and developmental screenings to identify potential problems with growth, hearing, social-emotional development, oral health, and other issues. Nurses also offer breastfeeding support, parenting support, and general parenting education.
