FOOD & FRIENDS: MEAL SERVICES
Senior Services provides comprehensive system of care for older adults that promotes choice, independence, and dignity. SS determines eligibility for SNAP/food stamps and Medicaid programs. Services include in-home care services, community living, congregate meal sites, home delivered meals, case management, OPI, admission screening for nursing homes, foster homes, health promotion programs, and residential and nursing home care for Medicaid-eligible older adults. SS offers support for primary caregivers, family members caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia.

Adult Protective Services (APS) investigates incidents of abuse involving older adults and people with disabilities who are living in a facility or in their own homes and provides a phone line to report abuse or neglect of older adults and adults with disabilities.

FEES: Suggested donation is currently $2.75 per meal for eligible seniors and their spouses. Eligible participants are asked to give only what they can comfortably afford and will not be refused service based on inability to donate.
