SECTION 8 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS
Provides vouchers to assist low-income households with rental costs. Once an eligible household is issued a voucher for rental assistance, the agency pays a portion of the household's rent directly to the landlords. Also issues both Family Choice Vouchers and HUD VASH Vouchers for veteran families. Additionally, fields general complaints about the Section 8 program.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call for information. There is usually a 6-12-month waitlist for the program.
FEES: Approximately 30%-40% of household adjusted gross income goes towards rent and utilities
DOCUMENTS: Verification of Social Security numbers for all household members
