SELF-SUFFICIENCY SERVICES
Department of Human Services (DHS) provides services for survivors of domestic violence with Self-Sufficiency programs, including determining eligibility for a temporary assistance grant and SNAP. Grants may be provided on a same-day basis in an emergency.

Eligibility: A person fleeing domestic violence, intimate partner violence, or a person trying to stay safe whose safety is at risk because of domestic violence or the threat of domestic violence. The person must also fit the following criteria:

-Be a pregnant woman or a parent or relative caring for a minor child

-Meet the income criteria for the program (this program looks only at income on hand that is available to meet any emergency needs).
-Be a resident of Oregon, Clark or Skamania County (and intending to reside in Oregon)

-Eligibility varies and is determined on a case-by-case basis; call or visit the website for more information

-Other eligibility criteria may vary by program
