INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE HELPLINE
Provides information and technical assistance for residential rental protection. Assists landlords claiming exemption to Mandatory Relocation Assistance to find and submit the appropriate forms. Helps tenants find information about what obligations their landlord must adhere to under the Portland City Code 30.01.085, which requires landlords who issue a notice of termination without a tenant-based cause to pay for the renter's relocation.



This program does NOT provide landlords or renters financial assistance or legal and business advice.

Eligibility: -Renter must live within Portland city limits
-Renter does not live with their landlord
-Tenancy is not week-to-week
-Served a no-cause eviction or encounter specific triggering events; rental increase of 10% or more, substantial change of lease terms, notice of non-renewal of a fixed term lease, or qualified landlord reason for termination.
