WEST WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN’S SHELTER
Provides services to those escaping domestic violence. Crisis intervention services include emergency shelter, crisis line, advocacy, therapeutic children's programs, and support groups. Self-sufficiency programming includes transitional housing and advocacy, information and referral, and life skills training. Provides community education and educational materials. The program is 60 days with the potential of an extension to 90 days.
Eligibility: Single women and women with children (male children must be under age 18) fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, intimate partner violence or elder abuse
Hours: Shelter hours and crisis line: 24 hours per day / 7 days per week
Client screenings: Monday-Friday 10am-5pm
Office hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

INTAKE PROCEDURE: -Call for information
-Access to shelter: A safety and stabilization assessment must be completed prior to entry. Safety assessments to access shelter can be completed through the agency or with another agency (Call to Safety, Gateway Center, Raphael House, Bradley Angle, IRCO, NAYA, Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, Volunteers of America, UNICA, YWCA).
