A collaboration of multiple agencies that provide a centralized coordinated access point for households experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis to seek assistance. Eligible households will be assessed for services and added to a central Housing Referral List for all programs they qualify for. This is not a crisis line, and there may be a wait for both shelter and housing.

Provides a year-round shelter that can house families for up to five weeks. Tenant education is available to shelter residents. Residents meet regularly with a family advocate to work on goals, establish a financial plan, and find stable permanent housing. Also provides support for school-aged children to stay in their neighborhood schools. Emergency food boxes are available.

Provides telephone and/or in-person screening and assessment for households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Telephone screenings are provided for emergency shelter (men's, women's, couples, and families) and winter shelter, including severe weather sites and homeless safe parking programs. Households are assessed for eligibility for housing/rent assistance programs (prevention, rapid re-housing, transitional, and permanent supportive), as well as diversion programs. Funding is limited and assistance is not guaranteed.

This is an access point for being placed on Jackson County's Centralized Interest List for housing.

Seasonal Winter Shelters may be open in addition to Severe Cold Weather Shelters that may be activated when a Severe Weather Notice is issued by the Multnomah County Joint Office of Homeless Services (JOHS).

The criteria used to determine a Severe Weather Notice in Multnomah County and the corresponding opening of emergency warming centers are:
-Temperatures forecast at 25°F or below OR
-Forecasts predict at least an inch of snow in most areas OR
-Overnight temperatures forecast at 32°F or below, with at least an inch of driving rain OR
-Other conditions, including severe wind chills or extreme temperature fluctuations

Severe weather shelters may be activated when certain weather criteria are met. Criteria vary by shelter.

Provides shelter and transitional housing for men and women, as well as a transitional home for mothers with children.

Offers an emergency shelter stay up to five nights and an additional six month Christian-based transitional housing program. Shelter administers drug tests and searches of property guest.

Family Promise of Greater Washington County operates four programs: Prevention, Remote, Shelter, and Stabilization.

Residents must undergo a background check, remain clean and sober for the duration of their stay, and be willing to participate in the organization's program to overcome barriers and apply for sustainable housing. Preference is given to families whose last housed location was in Fairview, Gresham, northeast Portland, southeast Portland, Troutdale, or Wood Village.

Families must take responsibility for developing and then working on a plan to move towards self-sufficiency with the input and help of the Family Case Manager. The program's goal is to assist families in securing stable, permanent housing within 30 days. This is a faith-based program but does not require any affiliation, belief, or attendance at religious services.

Community food storage limited to one cloth grocery bag for cupboard and one gallon size zip bag for fridge per person. Non-perishable food items allowed in personal locker.

During the day, guests can use the computer center and access services through referrals with Human Solutions and community partners. Services include assistance finding housing, employment, veterans' services, and mental health and addictions services.

There is no time limit on stay at the shelter; guests can stay as long as needed.
