BE MY EYES
Provides a no cost online app that connects users with a global community of volunteers and company representatives who are ready at a moment’s notice to lend their eyesight for everyday tasks. Assists with free visual support with tasks like reading labels, matching clothes, troubleshooting technology, setting up home appliances, or any other simple task a volunteer can complete over live video. Provides access to company partners for on-demand video customer support via Specialized Help if a task is too complicated or requires expertise.

Volunteer opportunities are available.
Eligibility: Individuals age 17 and older may sign up as visually impaired user or volunteer

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND
Consumer organization of blind people working together to improve opportunities for the blind and the understanding of blindness by the general public. Helps blind and visually impaired individuals achieve independence and equality by providing information and referral, employment information, literature, scholarship programs, and a blindness-related adaptive equipment store. The Free White Cane Program provides rigid fiberglass canes.

OREGON COMMISSION FOR THE BLIND
Provides vocational rehabilitation, independent living skills training, career exploration and general counseling for legally blind adults. Also provides independent living services for visually impaired individuals. Includes orientation and mobility training, techniques of daily living, Braille, counseling, support groups, vocational training, job development, and transition services for blind high school students. Also offers a selection of adaptive items for people with visual impairments.
