Offers preconception counseling and individualized prenatal care; able to co-care for some health issues and can take late transfers with previous prenatal care established. A team of midwives and students serves families in a free-standing birth center and at homebirths, including waterbirths. Postpartum care begins in birthing center or at patient's home and continues for both mother and baby for up to 6 weeks. Postpartum care includes newborn exam/screening, hearing screening, weight-checks, any lab work needed for mother, and can end with a well-woman exam.
