AVEL GORDLY CENTER FOR HEALING
Provides a multicultural mental health center responsive to the needs of the diverse communities of Oregon. The Center offers culturally based services, including African American services. Licensed African-American mental health practitioners are available to serve the mental health needs of the African and African-American communities in the Portland Metropolitan area.

One of the goals of the Center is to take away the shame associated with mental illness. Adults, families, and couples can get help with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment to major life events, bipolar and psychotic disorders, adjustment to chronic medical problems, substance abuse, DUI treatment, and problem gambling. Services include individual, group, couples and family therapy, as well as medication management.

Eligibility: Unrestricted

Sliding scale fees for mental health resources are available for uninsured patients who identify as African and African-American; and who are Multnomah County residents with income at or below 200% FPL.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-6pm, Friday 8:30am-5pm
