Also teaches skills that parents can use to minimize stress and help children cope, guidelines for reducing conflicts and solving custody issues out of court, and recognizing when a child needs help and where to find resources. All participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion. Child care not provided.
Eligibility: Families with children ages 0-18 who are separating, divorcing, or filing for custody changes and other modifications. This course may fulfill a court order to take parenting classes. Parents should check with their parole or probation officer or DHS caseworker to confirm.

OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH AND SUD-ADDICTIONS
Outpatient program offering a broad range of mental health, substance abuse and addictions, and prevention services. Services include mental health and developmental disabilities services for adults, children and families, and older adults crisis intervention; group and marriage counseling; programs to reintroduce hospital patients into their communities; help those experiencing homelessness; providing a transition from opioid and opioid-based medications to medications used to limit and reduce withdrawal symptoms (Please note: not a methadone clinic.)

Behavioral Health and Wellness programs can fulfill State requirements for Driving Under the Influence (DUI)/Minor in Possession (MIP) education and treatment. Also provides Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) groups, relapse prevention groups, family counseling, and parenting and anger management classes.

Parenting curriculum focused on the needs of families who have been involved in the criminal justice and/or child welfare systems. Through interactive coaching, role play, and discussion, parents expand their understanding of child development, learn how to solve problems, and develop the skill of emotion regulation.

Parents may receive training while incarcerated or in the community. Additional coaching and supported parenting time is available to some that have complement classroom instruction. Participating families can work with parent advocates to create family plans and connect with community resources and services.
