Eligibility: Households experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. Community Works focuses specifically on serving people experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or trafficking, as well as youth.

SHELTER SERVICES
Serves as an entry point into the Portland Metro area's domestic violence shelter and housing resources. Checks at 9am each day for all domestic violence resources, including shelter openings, available that same day. No waitlists are available. Shelter access is dependent on availability.

Pre-screens and provides referrals for a Safety and Stabilization Assessment (SSA) for domestic violence shelters or housing resources. SSA is required before accessing most direct domestic violence services.

Eligibility: Survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence, stalking, sex trafficking, or sex industry workers that are currently needing to flee a dangerous situation and have no safe place to stay for the night. Domestic and/or sexual violence must have occurred within the last six months.

UNICA (Un Nuevo Inicio para Concluir el Abuso/A New Beginning to End Abuse) assists Spanish-speaking individuals and families affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Services include:
-24-hour Spanish-language Crisis Line
-Case management and advocacy for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors
-Housing Assessment
-Spanish-language support groups
-Parenting support
-Community education
-Assistance for petitioners of restraining and stalking orders

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT
Navigators (advocates) provide information about services, resources, and assistance with filling out forms and applications regarding safety issues. Information and support are available in the following areas: crisis and safety planning (Safety and Stabilization Assessment or SSA); restraining order applications; crime reporting and prosecution; mental health counseling and support groups; culturally appropriate advocacy; advocacy and information; benefits to domestic violence survivors offered by DHS and legal consultation.
