The Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program helps low-income residents afford rental homes and apartments at normal market rates. Project-based Section 8 assistance is available at many locations throughout Multnomah County. These are apartments where the subsidy stays with the unit (it can not be taken by the resident to another location).
